Cedar Rapids Opera Theater has a wonderful tradition of outreach in both Cedar Rapids and Waterloo, IA.  This year we performed “Little Red’s Most Unusual Day”, in which John Davies compiled music by Rossini and Offenbach and set it to the the familiar children’s tale... with a bit of a twist.   I got to play Granny, which was unbelievably fun.  I was joined by a fabulous cast... Chaz Ali-Williams as Forest Ranger Dudley, Ivo Swarez as Mr. Big Bad, Erin Smith as Little Red, Valeria Kishkunas as Little Red’s Mom, and Tony Nickle, our fabulous music director, on piano.
